Film Vic to host industry brainstorm

[Wed 09/04/2008 04:06:14]

By Simon de Bruyn

Screen industry professionals, marketers and audience researchers will gather in Melbourne next month to explore practical solutions to the challenges facing the Australian screen industry.

The free industry forum – called Mindshift – will be hosted by Film Victoria, and the information gathered at the forum will inform the Victorian Government’s forthcoming Screen Industry Review.

The forum will cover audience engagement, skills development, business sustainability and strategies to increase content success across film, television, mobile and online platforms.

Many of the topics are the same covered by Melbourne based filmmaker Robert Connolly, in his recent landmark paper Embracing Innovation. Connolly will be one of the forum’s key guests.

The forum will be held on Wednesday 7 May. For more information see the Film Vic website.
