Bermuda International Film Festival, March 20-28, 2009. Qualifying festival for Short Film Oscar® screens narrative features, documentary features and shorts. Cash prizes accompany Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Award for Best Narrative Feature ($5000), M3 Wireless Bermuda Shorts Award ($3000) and Bacardi Limited Audience Choice Award ($3000). Award for Best Documentary Feature. A win in any of the three competition categories earns director a spot on festival jury the following year. Submission deadline: October 1, 2008. Late deadline: November 1, 2008. No entry fee. Films screened in 35mm, Beta SP (NTSC) formats.
