Pamela Hammond to leave Digital Pictures
[Thu 12/03/2009 07:19:47]
By Simon de Bruyn
Digital Pictures head of post-production Pamela Hammond has resigned and will leave her role on April 30 after 18 years at the company.
In an email to staff and clients earlier this week, Digital Pictures general manager John Fleming said the post-production house would now review its business structure, thus delaying the announcement of a replacement.
“As you are aware the industry has undergone significant change in recent years. In response, we continue to change the way we work, innovate with new services and remain a relevant and trusted partner to our many clients,” he wrote.
“With Pamela’s decision, we are taking a moment to review the structure of our business development at Digital Pictures and will therefore not immediately announce Pamela’s replacement.”
He added that she had built a formidable team of producers, colourists and operational staff who have assisted in the delivery of the entertainment industry’s premier service.
“Pamela is leaving behind one of the industry’s most experienced and talented post-production teams with Rachel Knowles, Rachel McKellar-Harding, Carol Johnston, Haley Gillies and Catherine Armstrong who, along with our head of digital film, Penelope Felton, will continue to maintain the high levels of service and provide high quality advice, quotes and workflows,” he said.
