Dungog releases more of festival program

Dungog Film Festival organisers have started to release more details of the 2009 program via its website.
After announcing their inclusion in the festival at the program launch on April 29, the festival has now confirmed Richard Frankland feature Stone Bros as the opening night feature, with NZ box office smash hit Second-Hand Wedding as the festival closer.
The festival has added Jon Hewitt's feature Dark Love Story, Hobby Farm, Girl Clock, Lake Mungo, Little Deaths, The Dinner Party, Storage, The Sculptor, and The View From Greenhaven to the list of accepted features, joining previously announced Stone Bros, Second-Hand Wedding, Bad Bush and Lucky Country.
A masterclass with acclaimed director Ray Lawrence was announced last week, while 18 of the 103 short films screening at the festival were also confirmed.
The first round of shorts are Bombshell, Commodity Fetish, Crooked, Dish Communication, Do Not Pass Go, Faces of Death, Frail, Just Go, Lotto Dreamin, My Little King, Project Petey DNA, Rebecca, Rented Space, Return, Rikki, Wasted Away, [Ctrl+P] and John Jameson competition winner Octopus.
South Australian Film Corporation supported shorts Past Midnight and Jackie's Spring Palace are also expected to join the program this week.
Now in its third year, the Dungog Film Festival promotes itself as the biggest celebration of Australian films. It will run from 28 to 31 May 2009 in the NSW town of Dungog, in the Hunter Valley.
