Box office: S4D keeps up with Disgrace

Seven week champion Samson and Delilah was almost on par with $10 million new release Disgrace this week, with the indigenous drama taking a further $68,000 in the Monday to Wednesday period.
Disgrace took $76,000 in the same period to close its first week with $285,000.
Distributed by Icon Films, the South African set drama played across 24 screens nationwide, while Samson held onto its 38 screens. Samson and Delilah's total box office now stands at just on $2.3 million.
Fellow Footprint Films release My Year Without Sex added a further $28,000 and now sits at $770,000.
Australian films opening this week are Bastardy and the remastered Wake in Fright, both in very limited release.
