After obtaining a diploma in Magazine Journalism, Vikki began her career in the film and TV industry at the ABC, and over an 11 year period worked in all television production categories: in studio, OB's, on set, production management, accounting and programming.
On leaving the ABC to freelance, Vikki acted as Mentor, Supervising Producer and Lecturer for film and television students at various TAFES.
She worked for a number of years as a 1st Assistant Director and then moved to South Australia where she firsted McLeod's Daughter for three series. The creation of the Production Operations Manager position is an outcome of the funding review.
ScreenWest will also farewell the current Producer Associate, D'arcy Hodgkinson, when his contract finishes on February 15. ScreenWest would like to acknowledge D'arcy's fantastic contribution over the past 12 months, and looks forward to continue to work with him ‘on the other side of the fence'.
