Everything in Jenny’s Mellor’s life was dedicated to getting accepted to Oxford University, and being pretty, hardworking and bright her dreams, and the dreams of her father, seemed well within reach. But then herlife in 1960s suburban London is turned on its head by the arrival of playboy David Goldman who decides he wants to show Jenny the world and an education far from the halls of the ancient colleges and now Jenny has to make a choice between everything she thought she ever wanted and the glamour of a life that appears to offer so much more.
