Robin Hood will open the 63rd Festival de Cannes on May 12 before screening in cinemas from May 13.
The epic blockbuster by British director Ridley Scott stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett (as well as Max Von Sydow, Lea Seydoux and William Hurt) and was penned by Brian Helgeland (L.A Confidential, Mystic River). The film portrays the birth of the Robin Hood legend.
