The 2010 Sydney Film Festival today revealed the winners of the Showtime Movie Channels Audience Awards.
The feature film winners are Taika Waititi’s rollicking coming-of-age film Boy (The State Theatre) which has already broken New Zealand box office records and Australian director Adam Blaiklock’s suspenseful debut feature, Caught Inside (at the satellite venues incorporating Dendy Opera Quays, Events Cinemas George Street, the Sydney Opera House and Art Gallery of NSW).
The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers, directed by festival guest Judith Ehrlich, won the Best Documentary at the State Theatre, and Best Documentary at the Satellite Venues was the portrait of the New York Times photojournalist, Bill Cunningham New York.
