Distracted Media signs distribution deal with Transmission Films and Paramount

[Thu 17/03/2011 02:51:20]

By Amanda Diaz

Distracted Media has announced a DVD distribution deal with Transmission Films and Paramount Home Entertainment Australia for viral horror movie The Tunnel.

Although the film initially gained a following for its intended online distribution via torrent, writer/producer Enzo Tedeschi says the deal will only help reach a greater audience.

"Our intention was to make The Tunnel available to as many people as possible - their willingness to find a way to work alongside our online release will be a massive boost to that," he said in a statement.

The film follows a news crew's journey into the heart of the tunnels underneath Sydney's St James station.

Both the DVD and the online version will be available on May 19.
