Local horror flick The Tunnel takes out Best Use of Social Media award
[Mon 21/03/2011 12:23:18]
Press release from Adele Feletto Publicity
Australia’s most anticipated locally filmed horror flick, The Tunnel, has got people talking again – this time for winning the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association Awards’ (AIMIA) “Best Use of Social Media, Word Of Mouth or Viral” award.
Judged as the most innovative and effective use of online communities along with the strongest engagement with these communities and the greatest overall success achieved, The Tunnel’s unique online space was developed and created by Sydney agency, DLSHS.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be acknowledged by the industry and to also be recognised in a category full of esteemed nominees – together with DLSHS we have clearly created an effective and cut-through social media campaign that has resonated with the online audience” said writer/producer, Enzo Tedeschi.
The Tunnel is set in and amongst Sydney’s tunnels and follows a news film crew’s journey underground hunting for a story, until the story starts hunting them and is scheduled for a worldwide online and DVD release on May 19 2011.
