Tomorrow, When The War Began sequel possibly delayed

The sequel to highly-successful Aussie film Tomorrow, When The War Began could be delayed due to news of the writer/director filming a new Frankenstein movie in the US.
Melbourne-born Stuart Beattie, a highly-sought screenwriter who wrote the Pirates of the Caribbean series and Collateral, has been brought on to write and direct new Lakeshore Entertainment film I, Frankenstein, based on a DarkStorm Studios graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux.
But like Tomorrow 2, the shoot is scheduled to take place around September/October.
A spokeswoman for Ambience Entertainment, which is also involved with the sequel, wouldn’t elaborate too much further on the official Facebook posting:

Be rest assured there is still the same energy and excitement from the producers propelling Tomorrow 2 forward, so stay tuned for futher exciting news!"
The spokeswoman added they were still hopeful the Tomorrow sequel, which was announced just over a month ago, would begin filming around the scheduled time.
I, Frankenstein, which originally had Underworld: Rise of the Lycans director Patrick Tatopoulos attached at the top, will bring back classic monster characters such as Frankenstein's Monster, The Invisible Man and Dracula.
The Tomorrowsequel will be produced, edited and finished entirely in Australia, and is expected to generate more than 450 jobs and inject about $40 million into the NSW economy.
The original $27 million film was last year's biggest Australian movie at the local box office taking in $13.5 million, however it hasn't landed a US distribution deal.

Wow Nicky! Thanks!! And while you are so excited about the prospect of the TWTWB sequel, you ( or Sam) might explain why anyone would make a sequel to a failed $27m film ?
TWTWB couldnt have returned more than $7m to its investors, probably less. Let's see if Screen Australia think its valid to invest again, especially given that Australian taxpayers will contribute $$millions to the financing via the Producer Offset(as they did on the first film - maybe $8m??).!!!!!
