Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon to open Moscow Film Festival

Paramount Pictures, Central Partnership and Moscow International Film Festival are delighted to announce that Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, directed by Michael Bay, will open the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival. Directed by Bay and written by Ehren Kruger, the film is produced by Don Murphy & Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce. The executive producers are Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian The MIFF Opening Gala will take place in Moscow at Pushkinsky Cinema Theater on Thursday, June 23, 2011.

The third installment in this highly anticipated franchise will be presented in Moscow by director Michael Bay, producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce, as well as the film’s stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, and John Malkovich. The world premiere of Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon will be presented in 3D. Media from around the globe is expected to cover the event.

When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon will release in Australia on June 29th.
