Box Office: Snowtown maintains top spot among limited releases

Local psychological horror film Snowtown has maintained its top spot among limited releases over the weekend after grossing $136,279 at the box office.
The film was shown on 17 screens resulting in a healthy screen average of $8106. The film, which tells the story of Adelaide's most-horrific serial murders, has now taken $389,118 in total.
Meanwhile, local documentary Mrs Carey's Concert continues to win over audiences with strong word-of-mouth. The film, about music director Karen Carey's work at a Sydney school preparing her students for a concert at the Opera House, took another $74,866 in its fifth weekend - a drop of just five per cent - breaking the $500,000 mark.
It is now Australia's eighth biggest documentary of all time, passing the 1978 release of ABC of Love and Sex Australia Style, which grossed $447,000.
Among other Australian releases, Mad Bastards took another $23,368 in its fourth weekend on 11 screens. The Transmission/Paramount-distributed indigenous drama has now grossed $311,463 in total.
Among mainstream releases, The Hangover Part II opened in top spot after grossing $11.28 million across 424 screens. The Warner Bros-distributed comedy's screen average stood at a mighty $26,620.
In second place, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides dropped 49 per cent to take $5.02 million across 600 screens. After two weeks, it has now amassed $17.25 million at the box office.
Completing the top five films at the box office were: Water For Elephants ($1.09 million), Source Code ($392,302) and Thor ($322,282).
