Offspring season three coming to our screens

[Wed 08/06/2011 03:44:34]

By Sam Dallas

Risqué romantic comedy Offspring is set to be on our screens for at least another season, it was announced today.

Australian audiences will be able to continue following the Proudman family in season three, with production starting on 13 episodes later this year.

The Southern Star John Edwards Production, starring Silver Logie winner Asher Keddie, has been a big hit for Ten with Aussie audiences engaging with Nina's (Keddie) love life as she comes to terms with being over 30.

"Nothing gives us greater pleasure than to announce more of our favourite relationship drama," Ten's chief programming officer David Mott said in a statement.

"Audiences and advertisers love it."

Season two is currently screening, with Monday’s episode being the fifth watched show among people aged 25 to 54 in capital cities, attracting an audience of 597,000, according to OzTam.
