Kojo Group integrates business divisions, appoints Barbara Devlin

[Mon 11/07/2011 10:13:18]

By Brendan Swift

Screen content company Kojo Group has integrated its business divisions under one brand and appointed executive producer Barbara Devlin to spearhead a push into multi-platform, digital content.

The South Australian-based company will now operate with four core business units: Content, Post-Production, Digital and Events. Devlin, who previously worked with Kojo chief executive Loewn Steel at @radical.media as a freelance producer, will lead the Content division.

Steel said the company had been looking to bring all content creation under one executive producer and to establish a multi-platform content team.

"Where once the boundaries were easy to define between corporate content, TVCs, and entertainment, this is no longer the case and our business needs to reflect this change in the way we work for our clients and as a group,” she said in a statement.

“Barbara is a forward thinking creative producer and her appointment is sure to challenge the status quo and will bring a new and fresh vitality to our industry."

Spirit Films and Oasis Post will become part of the Content team. Oasis's head of film and television, Dale Roberts, has been appointed director of content and post-production while VFX supervisor, Marty Pepper, will assume the role of director of creative strategy.

The Digital division will be headed up by senior producer Steve Barrett, while the Melbourne-based Events division will continue to be headed by Daniel Tippett.
