[Mon 25/07/2011 02:05:45]

By Amanda Diaz

Australian alternative content producer and distributor CinemaLive has opened an office in London.

The Shooting Stars Picture Company subsidiary plans to expand its products and services for the UK and other European territories.

"The launch of our UK office will strengthen our relationships in the European market," said Shooting Star Picture Company CEO Peter Skillman in a statement.

First launched three years ago, CinemaLive delivers a range of alternate entertainment - including sports and opera - to almost 50 countries including South Africa, Russia, the USA and Canada.

Content is delivered either via satellite or DCP.

Helen Jones, formerly a Post Production Coordinator at Sony Pictures Entertainment, will take on the role of Distribution Manager and Cinema Liaison for the UK office, which is located in Soho.
