Sony's PMW-F3. The Scalable Super35mm Solution

The PMW-F3 Super35mm digital cinematography camera from Sony truly represents a breakthrough for independent producers, filmmakers and videographers looking for maximum value in these days of ever-tightening budgets. Cinematographers shooting TVCs, music videos, TV drama, docos, indie features and corporate projects are all discovering the gorgeous images and amazing price/performance this camera delivers.
Designed with the performance and features you expect for shooting moving images with maximum creative control, the PMW-F3 features a Super 35mm large frame sensor, PL lens mount compatibility and an array of professional video and audio interfaces.
Choose your recording method depending on the demands of the project and your post-production path. On-board recording to SxS memory cards makes for a compact and easy to use package, or scale up to record 4:2:2 10-bit output to an external recorder.
For the most demanding shoots, the PMW-F3 can be optioned with an uncompressed RGB 4:4:4 output including S-Log mode for capturing extended dynamic range.
Available from later this year are two new zoom lens options - a 14X servo zoom plus a PL mount 1.5X wide zoom - bringing versatility and handling never previously available on a large sensor camera.
Also available from later this year is a 3D Link option, allowing two PMW-F3 cameras to be easily used together under common control, for 3D shooting.
The PMW-F3 is available body-only or together with a set of three Sony prime lenses.
