Kriv Stenders joins new production company Magnetic Theory

A new production company, Magnetic Theory, has opened its doors in Sydney.
Magnetic Theory launches with a respected stable of artists already on its books including director Kriv Stenders, motion designers and illustrators Supervixen, and motion designer and creative director Anna Meiser.
Stenders, whose recent feature Red Dog is the eighth highest grossing Australian film of all time and has secured nine nominations for the 2011 Jameson IF Awards Sydney, said he was excited to be collaborating with Magnetic Theory.
"It's great to be part of a new emerging paradigm in the way production companies can now connect with talent, create opportunities, share ideas, and do business," he said in a statement. "I love the freedom and flexibility Magnetic Theory is offering me and look forward to be being part of a collective of artists who are all committed to embracing new approaches, methodologies and ways of creating all kinds of traditional and evolving media."
Magnetic Theory co-founders Ian Johnson and Brad Smith have accumulated over twenty years of experience in the industry together, with Johnson best known as the former LaB general manager and co-founder of visual effects house Conja while Smith was executive producer of Spinifex.
Magnetic Theory represents designers, creative directors, commercial directors, digital specialists, producers, matte painters and editors.
“We will only represent artist’s whose work inspires us and who we trust," Johnson said in a statement. "Brilliant directors, designers and conceptual thinkers many who have already established themselves in their respective creative fields, but with our expertise, hopefully we can introduce them to a broader potential client base."
