Jenni Tosi appointed Film Victoria's new chief executive

[Fri 04/11/2011 04:15:55]

By Sam Dallas

Film Victoria has appointed Jenni Tosi as its new chief executive, effective immediately.

The former Crawford Productions' script supervisor, who cut her teeth on such dramas as The Sullivans and Cop Shop, has taken the senior role at the state agency after being Acting CEO since March this year.

She replaces Sandra Sdraulig, who left the organisation in controversial circumstances after it was revealed that $45,000 of taxpayers' money was spent on her farewell party. Sdraulig was recently appointed the chairman of the Adelaide Film Festival.

Tosi, co-founder of Telltale Films, takes the helm after more than three years helping steer the state agency's industry programs as the Industry Development and Investment's general manager. Under the role, she was involved with script and professional development, digital media, production investment, audience engagement and industry development.

Before joining Film Victoria, she worked as an independent producer and line producer for more than three decades, earning such credits as TV series Holly's Heroes and features Macbeth, Valentines Day and The Children of the Silk Road. She also helped produce more than 70 hours of sitcom for Channel Nine, including Jon English show All Together Now.
