Screen Australia appoints Sally Regan as investment manager for drama

[Wed 04/07/2012 02:59:32]

By Staff reporter

Screen Australia has appointed experienced production executive Sally Regan as its new investment manager for drama.

Regan has over 20 years’ experience in the screen production sector and was most recently Screen NSW's development and production executive working across documentary, features and television drama.

Her producer credits include feature documentary Forbidden Lie$; ABC documentaries Colour of War and Road to Tokyo; Germany/Canada/Australia co-production feature documentary I, Psychopath; and most recently The Lost Diggers of Fromelles for Channel 7. She also produced the ABC telemovie The Prime Minister Is Missing.

From 1999 to 2003, she was employed at Film Australia as business affairs manager of documentary production.

Regan begins new role at Screen Australia on July 16. She replaces outgoing investment manager Sally Browning, who returns to the production sector.

Screen Australia’s head of production investment Ross Matthews said: “I am extremely pleased that Sally Regan has agreed to join our production investment team. She brings a wealth of experience both in screen production and agency investment management. I have no doubt Sally will be a valuable addition to the team and will forge strong relationships with the industry.

“I also want to acknowledge the significant contribution Sally Browning has made as an investment manager at both Screen Australia and its predecessor agency, the Film Finance Corporation, in supporting Australian filmmakers. I wish her every success as she returns to the production sector.”
