AIMC 2012: Service expert Barry Urquhart's strategies for difficult customers

[Fri 13/07/2012 09:34:03]

Press release from AIMC

Barry Urquhart, Australia’s pre-eminent consultant on customer service excellence, will address delegates at the 67th Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) to be held August 19-23 at Jupiter’s on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Barry’s two books, “Serves You Right!” and “Service Please!” are the two largest selling publications on customer service in Australasia.

His recent clients include BMW, BHP-Billiton, IBM, Sigma Pharmaceutical and Curtin University.

Known for his challenging and confronting style, Barry’s presentations are insightful and humorous.

Entitled “Service that Satisfies, Sells”, Barry’s presentation for the AIMC has been designed specifically for cinema owners, managers and front-line staff members after extensive research, including interviews with industry leaders and site visits to cinema complexes in each state.

Barry says the presentation will provide “a unique perspective on consumer expectations, demands, desires and goals which impact on revenue, customer satisfaction, repeat business and profits.”

He says delegates will learn what makes a great front-line service provider, be exposed to the four pillars of service excellence and be given strategies to deal with and win over difficult customers.

Barry’s presentation at the AIMC will take place on Tuesday, August 21.
