IFTA Re-ups Contracts For Executives
[Fri 14/09/2012 11:21:35]
Press Release from Arpi Ketendjian
The Independent Film and Television Alliance (IFTA®) has renewed contracts with CEO & President, Jean Prewitt and Executive VP & American Film Market Managing Director, Jonathan Wolf through 2015.
Chairman Paul Hertzberg stated, “We are thrilled to have Jean and Jonathan on board through 2015. Their leadership and insight have put IFTA and Independents at the forefront of conversations affecting the industry.”
IFTA addresses key issues facing Independents, from piracy to tax incentives to keeping the internet free and open. In 2011-12, pursuant to an agreement struck by Ms. Prewitt with Comcast/NBCU to promote independent programming on U.S. broadcast and cable networks, qualified independent producers were able to pitch projects directly to NBCU executives, several of which resulted in new development deals.
IFTA also continues to grow its annual American Film Market, the world’s largest independent film trade show. A new five-day Conference, launched in 2011, sold out in its first year.
