The Australian Screen Sound Guild is now calling for entries in the 2012 Australian Screen Sound Awards sponsored by Syntec International.
The ASSG is pleased to announce entries are now open for the 2012 Australian Screen Sound Awards. The 2012 Awards will see three new categories launched;
ASSG Members Choice Award - (which will be voted for by the members of the ASSG through the ASSG website).
This will give all our members a chance to choose their favorite soundtrack of the year and favourite Cinema Sound Venue.
Special Achievement In Sound - This award will be given to one or more of our sound practitioners for outstanding achievement in an area of sound not covered by the other award categories.
Best Achievement in Television Live Audio - This award will recognise the work of our colleagues who pursue excellence in live audio production for sport, live music entertainment and beyond.
In addition to the new categories above, we have expanded the Best Achievement in Sound for a Television Commercial to include TV Promos.
Finally, the Soundtrack of the Year award will now also be awarded to the Director and Producer of the winning film.
The Australian Screen Sound Awards for 2012 will be held on Sunday the 25th of
November, 2012 with a gala luncheon in the Ballroom at the Establishment Hotel from 12.30pm.
