Press release from Network Ten

Network Ten today announced the appointment of Louise Barrett as National Sales Director, reporting to Chief Sales Officer Barry O’Brien.

Ms Barrett will join Network Ten in January 2013 from ACP Magazines, where she is Director of Sales.

Mr O’Brien said: “Louise is the most highly respected sales director in the market. She has remarkable rapport with clients and agencies, and hiring her is an absolute coup for Ten.

“With the appointment of Louise and the return of our National Sales Manager, Kylie Rogers, from maternity leave in the new year, we will have a very formidable senior Sales team at Ten.”

Ms Barrett has held senior management roles in television, magazines and radio.

Her resume includes Director of Sales at 2UE, General Manager of Macquarie Radio Network, Director of Group Trading and Integration at PBL Media, and Director of Nine Entertainment Co’s cross-media division Powered. Ms Barrett has also held board positions at The Sydney Festival and Sydney Children's
Hospital Foundation.

“I am thrilled to be joining the senior management team at Network Ten,” Ms Barrett said.

“I am truly passionate about television, having started my career in television, and I strongly believe that television and its many digital offerings will remain the dominant medium in Australian media in the years to come.”
