Miller Skyline 70 Supporting the Industry Heavy Weights

[Tue 23/10/2012 05:07:34]

The Skyline 70, 150mm ball leveling fluid head is Miller Camera Support Equipment’s latest innovation. Ideally suited to digital cinematography, the Skyline 70 incorporates advanced precision drag and counterbalance systems that support a diverse choice of camera configurations with payloads from 4.5 kg to 37.5 kg making it an extremely versatile fluid head.

With this wide payload range, the Skyline 70 makes an ideal companion for camera models from the smaller RED EPIC and DSLR to the industry heavyweights, Sony F65 and Arri Alexa fully rigged with all the bells and whistles.

The Skyline 70 is packed with clever little touches like an illuminated rear mounted control panel to enable the DP to make quick and simple adjustments on the go day and night. A totally new counterbalance system provides 8 positions of adjustment to enable payloads to be perfectly balanced at various centres of gravity. In addition, the ultra-smooth 7 plus zero selectable pan and tilt fluid drag offers distinct levels of drag resistance that is repeatable even in extreme temperature ranges from -40 to +65 degrees allowing the operator to achieve soft take-offs, smooth stops and perfectly balanced diagonal transitions.

In addition, features like superior calliper disc brake system and safety tilt lock mechanism gives you peace of mind that your payload is protected from operational mishaps. To further meet the demands of digital cinematography, the Skyline 70 also includes a 120mm quick release camera platform and accessory mounting block adaptor for all those add-ons needed with this level production.

A variety of system packages are available, from the Heavy Duty 2-Stage Carbon Fibre tripod to Heavy Duty Single Stage Alloy tripod to studio based Heavy Duty Studio Alloy tripod, Skyline 70 systems are built with the strength, stability and rigidity to enable the user to always be in control especially in challenging shooting conditions.
