Australian programs dominate top 50

01 December, 2013 by Don Groves

Stats for the 2013 ratings year confirm that Australian audiences continue to overwhelmingly prefer home grown shows to US and British imports.

The bad news for the free-to-air broadcasters was that collectively their share of the 16-54 audience dropped by 3% and their primary channels were down by about 6%.

ABC-TV ended the ratings year as the number 3 network with a prime-time share of 14.6% (up from 13.6%).
