Love Child increases lead over Secrets & Lies

In the head-to-head battle of Australian dramas, the Nine Network’s Love Child has pulled further ahead of Network Ten’s Secrets & Lies.

Last night the fifth episode of Playmaker Media’s Love Child drew 1.06 million viewers in the five capital cities/1.61 million nationally, easily winning its timeslot.

The third chapter of Hoodlum Entertainment’s Secrets & Lies had 316,000 viewers in the metros and 433,000 nationally, down from last week's 365,000/723,000.

However the consolidated figures for the second episode of the murder mystery indicate the show’s total reach is rather bigger. Ten said the first run and repeats of that episode drew 552,000 viewers plus 76,000 who time shifted. And there has been a total of 439,000 video views on www.tenplay.com.au.

Nine reported the previous week’s episode of Love Child was watched by an additional 246,812 viewers in the mainland capitals and 61,253 regional viewers in the seven days after the initial broadcast.

A further 73,902 five city/regional viewers watched an encore screening on Gem. So in total last week’s episode  was seen by  a national audience of 2.054 million.

My Kitchen Rules regained its lead, pulling 1.65 million in the metros/2.46 million nationally, versus The Block Fans v Faves, which had 1.578 million/1.82 million.
