Network Ten tweaks production and development teams

Network Ten’s Chief Programming Officer Beverley McGarvey has re-defined the roles of several executives in the broadcaster’s production and development team.

In an email to staff McGarvey said the changes are due to the increasing demands of domestic production.

Stephen Tate is promoted to Head of Entertainment & Factual Entertainment and Paul Leadon becomes Head of Comedy. Both were executive producers.

Previously Head of Production and Development, Lisa Fitzpatrick gets the title Director of Development, to focus on her development role.That trio reports to McGarvey.

Continuing in their current positions are Rick Maier as Head of Drama, Azar Marashian, Development & Acquisitions Manager, Cherrie Bottger, Head of Children’s TV and Toni Skaife, Head of Production & Business Affairs.

Maria Michael, Karen Warner and Rob Wallace maintain their current responsibilities as Network EPs, reporting to Tate.

Ten’s current and upcoming slate includes Wonderland, Offspring, Puberty Blues, comedy/ entertainment series A League Of Their Own which launches September 16, Party Tricks, a six-part drama starring Asher Keddie and Rodger Corser, produced by Southern Star Entertainment,  Hoodlum’s Secrets & Lies, Shine Australia’s The Bachelor and So You Think You Can Dance, The Project (Roving Enterprises), Recipe to Riches (FremantleMedia) and This Week Live (Guesswork Television).
