Adelaide Studios busy

The animated television series New Adventures of Figaro Pho has commenced Foley at Adelaide Studios.

It follows the production being housed in the Adelaide Studios production offices for nearly six months last year.

The Foley team includes Sam Rogers (Foley Artist), Duncan Campbell (Foley Recordist and Editor) and Geoff Crowther (Foley Recordist and Editor).

In 2012, Chocolate Liberation Front’s The Adventures of Figaro Pho won the Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) Award for Best Sound for an Animated Short Film or Program (Michael Darren, Tom Heuzenroeder, Adrian Medhurst, Sam Rogers, Russell Alexander, Luke Jurevicius). Foley was recorded at Adelaide Studios.

Chocolate Liberation Front has also teamed up with Hahn Films and Toonz animation on the Network Ten production of 1001 Nights, which is also in production.

Writer/director Chris Pahlow (VIC) recently spent a week at Adelaide Studios along with his post-production sound team final mixing his debut feature film Play It Safe, using the Dolby Premier Mixing Theatre. The team consisted of Thom Kellar (Dialogue Editor, Music Editor, Re-recording Mixer, Brisbane); Chris Pahlow (Director, Melbourne); Lachlan Harris (Sound Designer, Melbourne); and Duncan Campbell (Mix Technician, Adelaide Studios).

In the Sound Stages, the Philippou Brothers are working on their online high-octane comedy, Versus. Known as the RackaRacka, Adelaide’s Philippou brothers have built a vast, dedicated online audience, with 806,000 YouTube subscribers. The South Australian Film Corporation and Screen Australia are supporting them to make three episodes of their trademark stunt-laden online platform videos, which will be produced by Julie Byrne of Triptych Pictures (The Babadook).
