Kirsten Badcock leaves Film Victoria

[Wed 02/12/2009 04:58:46]

Press release from Film Victoria

After almost six years at Film Victoria, we bid farewell and good luck to Kirsten Badcock, our General Manager - Melbourne Film Office, as she embarks on a new stage in her life.

Kirsten has made a significant contribution to the Victorian screen industry during her time at Film Victoria. As the Marketing Co-ordinator for the Melbourne Film Office, Kirsten used her extensive experience to develop and implement Film Victoria's highly regarded "Film Melbourne Now" international marketing campaign, which received multiple awards at the Association of Film Commission's International Marketing Awards in 2006, and was a finalist at the Melbourne Awards in 2007.

She also played an integral part of the team responsible for attracting several productions to the State and worked tirelessly on developing Film Victoria's online tools, the Industry Directory and Locations Gallery.

In 2007, Kirsten was appointed as the General Manager - Melbourne Film Office, where she continued to use her broad expertise and strategic approach to position the state at the forefront of the industry and ensure Film Victoria continued to provide excellent film commission services to both local and international productions.

As a new mum to the delightful Ted, Kirsten will leave Film Victoria to spend more time with her family.

"Kirsten is a highly valuable member of our team and well regarded by her peers and members of the local and international screen industries.

Her enthusiasm and commitment will be greatly missed at Film Victoria, and I'd like to thank her for the tremendous contribution she's made to this organisation and the industry," said Sandra Sdraulig, Film Victoria's Chief Executive Officer.

The board and staff wish Kirsten the very best of luck for the future. Her final day at Film Victoria will be Friday 18December 2009.
