Call for submissions: Toronto International Film Festival 2014

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) programmer Jane Schoettle will be in Australia next month to view new feature films for possible selection for TIFF 2014.

Jane has said of her pending visit, “My screening trips to Australia become increasingly more exciting every year. With an ever-deepening talent pool and no end of remarkable stories to tell, Australia has become a vital territory for TIFF to showcase, and I hope Australia's filmmakers continue to see TIFF as the best platform upon which to launch their films to the world."

Filmmakers with an Australian feature film that they would like to have considered for screening at TIFF are encouraged to confirm their film’s eligibility as outlined on the TIFF website.

If eligible, please contact Dale Fairbairn on dale.fairbairn@screenaustralia.gov.au or Lucy Burne on Lucy.Burne@screenaustralia.gov.au, or by telephone 02 8113 5800; toll free 1800 213 099.

Screen Australia will need to receive a DVD of the film by 5pm Tuesday 1 April 2014.

The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the leading public film festivals in the world, screening more than 300 films from 60+ countries every September. While it is a public film festival with huge attendances, it is also a festival of significant importance to the world’s film industry and press, providing a launch pad for both big Hollywood films and arthouse cinema from around the world.
