Conspiracy 365 pay-TV series begins production

Principle photography on Movie Network Channels’ Conspiracy 365 has begun this week, with AFI-Award winning Australian actor Harrison Gilbertson playing the lead role.

Conspiracy 365 is the single, largest drama production to be ever commissioned for subscription-TV with a production budget of $13 million, fully-funded by Movie Network Channels.

Melbourne-based Circa Entertainment is producing the series, which is adapted from the best-selling novels by Australian author Gabrielle Lord.

Conspiracy 365 follows a year in the life of teenager Cal Ormond, who is forced to go on the run and become a fugitive as he searches for the truth behind a deadly family secret.

The drama series will be broadcast on the Family Movie Channel (FMC) with a broadcasting strategy that mirrors the release of the original novels, which were released as twelve monthly installments, from next January.

Harrison Gilbertson, who won the AFI Best Young Actor Award for his performance in war film Beneath Hill 60, has been given the role of Cal Ormond. Paul Goldman, who previously worked with Harrison on Australian Rules, will direct the first four episodes.

The ensemble cast also includes: Marny Kennedy (Mortified), David Whiteley (Killer Elite), Julia Zemiro (RocKwiz), Rob Carlton (Paper Giants), Kate Kendall (Matching Jack) and Ryan O'Kane (City Homicide).

The production will be shot over 26 weeks in Victoria. Emmy award-winning digital producers Hoodlum Entertainment will develop a multi-platform strategy across mobile, web-based video platforms and social networks.
