Dan Wyllie joins the cast of Tangle

Showtime Australia and the producers of Tangle proud to announce Dan Wyllie has signed on as a key guest cast member in the third season of Tangle. Dan plays the role of Michael Chubievsky, a man from both Nat (Kat Stewart) and Christine’s (Catherine McClements) past, who will have a profound impact on their lives.

On joining the series Dan said, “Tangle is firmly in the vein of Love My Way – a seminal and incredible experience for me and it is a joy to be part of an evolving tradition of Australian television of such high calibre.”

He is looking forward to reuniting with producer John Edwards and with former Love My Way cast member Justine Clarke, “I am really in awe of the cast, the incredible direction and writing. I am over the moon to be joining the show and I am looking forward to working with the inimitable Kat Stewart of whom I am a massive fan.”

From his feature film debut in Spotswood (1990), Dan has featured in some of the most iconic films of the last two decades including Animal Kingdom, Chopper, Muriel's Wedding, Sanctum, Cosi, The Thin Red Line, Holy Smoke, Romper Stomper and Peter Pan. His equally impressive television credits include Love My Way (for which he won both the Silver Logie and Astra Awards), Wilfred II, Chandon Pictures, Underbelly, Bad Cop Bad Cop and Bastard Boys.

Tangle season 3 features a stellar ensemble cast including Justine Clarke (Ally), Catherine McClements (Christine) and Kat Stewart (Nat), along with Matt Day (Gabriel), Lincoln Younes (Romeo), Blake Davis (Max), Eva Lazarro (Gigi), Joel Tobeck (Tim), Kick Gurry (Joe), Jane Allsop (Tanya), Lucia Emmerichs (Ophelia) and Georgia Flood (Charlotte).

Tangle is produced by John Edwards and Imogen Banks with Executive Producer, Kim Vecera for Showtime Australia. Written by Fiona Seres and Tony McNamara and directed by Emma Freeman (Hawke, Tangle 2, Love My Way) and Michael James Rowland (Spirited, Lucky Miles). Tangle is being produced with investment by Austar.

Tangle season 3 will screen exclusively on showcase, available only on Foxtel and Austar.
