David Wenham is joining the Marvel universe.
Wenham will join Game of Thrones star Finn Jones in Netflix's upcoming Marvel series Iron Fist, set in the same world as Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
He will play Harold Meachum, a business tycoon who was partners with Iron Fist's parents before their untimely death, in what sounds like a very Bruce Wayne-ish setup.
Wenham will next be seen in Garth Davis' Lion, and the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, which was shot on the Gold Coast last year.
Per Deadline, Iron Fist tells the story of Danny Rand (Jones), who "returns to New York after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting the city with his incredible kung fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist."
Wenham is repped by Shanahan in Oz, Anonymous Content's Sandra Chang in the U.S. and Markham, Froggatt and Irwin in the UK.
