Denise Morgan dies aged 64

Television writer and script producer, Denise Morgan, passed away last Saturday.

Denise was a wonderful writer, an inspirational mentor and a committed, energetic member of the Australian Writers Guild for over 30 years. She was a fine woman. Denise wrote for many television series in a career that spanned more than thirty years. These credits included Blue Heelers, Stingers, Phoenix, Water Rats, Medivac, Murder Call, Flying Doctors, Home And Away, Embassy, A Country Practice, Prisoner and many others.

Those of us who worked with Denise over the years, and there are very many of us, will remember her as a talented writer and teacher with a hugely generous spirit, a quick wit and an infectious smile. She will endure in our memories for many years.

Vale Denise. You will be very sadly missed.

Denise’s funeral will be held at the Palm Chapel of Macquarie Park Crematorium, corner of Delhi and Plassey Roads, Macquarie Park, on Friday (1 July, 2011), commencing at 2.15 p.m.
