FremantleMedia Australia (FMA) will produce local versions of Mark Burnett's stable house of reality television shows after signing an exclusive deal with Burnett's production company One Three Television.
FMA, which is currently responsible for runaway hits Masterchef and Australia's Got Talent, will have access to One Three Television's formats – both old and new.
On the development slate already is a local version of The Apprentice, featuring Wizard Home Loans founder Mark Bouris as well as an adventure show called Expedition Impossible.
Burnett is one of the most successful producers in the industry, and is responsible for the creation of juggernauts including Survivor, Rock Star: INXS and Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?.
