Teaser: ‘The Hidden Well’ is director Robert Chuter’s second feature following ‘The Dream Children’.
Synopsis: ‘The Hidden Well’ is a portmanteau feature film, composed of six standalone chapters all united by a stylistic cinematic framework and a strong ensemble cast: Michael Maxwell Loder, Jem Nichola, Phoebe Jakober, Guillym Davenport, Tim Quabba, Lee Mason and Marie-Clare Anastasia, five different writers: Alex Broun, Angus Brown, Krista Dalby, Amanda Miha and Jane Miller united with one director. Each chapter is a simple human story devoid of effects and set pieces, but engineered by emotion and intimacy. Each new character, each new story reflect some kind of surprising crisis: a couple looking for connection, a young man faces a life changing request, a sex worker finding her estranged father, a devoted husband harbours a burning desire and a woman suffering from an emotional disease – all of them affected when fate intervenes. Currently shooting on location in St. Kilda, Elwood and Brighton, Melbourne.
