Horror-thriller slated for Queensland

Brodie Henson will play the male lead in in Centre of Attention, an Australian horror/thriller film which will mark the feature directing debut of Rusty Angel.

Due to shoot in South-East Queensland early next year, the screenplay by Angel, based on a concept by Lita Cathcart, follows a serial killer who becomes obsessed with a girl named Abby.

Teasha Garofalo is cast as Abby, with Henson as her boyfriend Kyle. Daniel James plays Darcy the serial killer and Jordan Kattahagen is Kyle’s best friend Rick.

At first Darcy’s obsession seems harmless but then he sends her violent sexual descriptions online of what he wants to do to her. She blocks him but that doesn't end his obsession.

The production company is EnurshA Productions and the film will be privately financed.

Henson was among the 80-plus actors who took part in Project One Shot, an innovative short film shot in one single take on the Gold Coast on September 3, produced and directed by Darwin Brooks.

He played a British P.O.W. in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and a US university student in San Andreas, the action drama filmed on the Gold Coast, which stars Dwayne Johnson as a rescue-chopper pilot who strives to rescue his estranged daughter after a massive earthquake.
