Hoyts Cinemas will donate $2 from every movie ticket sold this Sunday February 15 to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal fund.
“This disaster has touched the hearts of all our staff, with some directly affected by the fires in Victoria. Since the scale of the tragedy became apparent, the number of emails and phone calls from all Hoyts departments to get behind the relief fund has
been overwhelming. Hence I am proud to support this fundraising effort and subsequent donation on behalf of Hoyts” explained Delfin Fernandez, CEO of Hoyts Corporation.
Sara Hoogendoorn, General Manager – Marketing added that “the entire film distribution community has been very supportive of this initiative, with all the film studios supporting our fundraising efforts.”
Hoyts hope to raise tens of thousands of dollars this Sunday February 15 across all Hoyts cinemas throughout Australia. “We will be pleased to announce the total amount donated next week and hope that with support from the public, it will be a
substantial contribution” said Hoogendoorn.
