Kodak appoints new director of marketing

Effective immediately, Johanna C. Gravelle has been appointed to the position of Director of Marketing, with Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging division, Asia Pacific Region.

Based at Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne, Canadian born Johanna joined Kodak in 1990 after graduating from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts – Still Photography. During her 18 years with Kodak Canada she has held various technical, marketing and sales roles and vacates the position of Country Manager, Entertainment Imaging Canada for this key Asia Pacific marketing position.

With a strong background in the motion picture industry, Gravelle looks forward to heading into new territories. “Asia Pacific is the most diverse region in the world and one where the film industry is still growing, she comments. “There are countries such as India and China where local feature film production is thriving and we mustn’t forget that one third of the world advertising emanates from this region, making television commercial production very active. Despite the hype that surrounds the increasing number of digital capture devices available today, film continues to set the standard for image quality. My primary objective is to help filmmakers understand and separate the myths from the facts so that their productions are the best they can be without compromising their creative options”

Johanna, replaces Ingrid Goodyear who has moved to a worldwide role as General Manager Image Capture Products and Vice President Entertainment Imaging. She will report to Greg McKibbin, Regional Business General Manager & Vice President Entertainment Imaging, Eastman Kodak Asia Pacific Region.
