Minister Louise Asher to address the screen industry at Screen Forever

The Hon. Louise Asher MP, Minister for Innovation, Tourism and Major Events will deliver the Welcome Address at the 29th annual SCREEN FOREVER Conference presented by Screen Producers Australia, on Monday 17 November at 10:30am at Melbourne’s Crown Conference Centre.

Held over three days, SCREEN FOREVER is one of the largest congregations of media and entertainment professionals in the Southern Hemisphere and is expected to attract over 700 delegates. Conference delegates include leading Australian and international industry practitioners involved in all aspects of producing, creating, distributing and financing screen content.

Following the Welcome Address, Phillip Adams AO, arguably Australia’s greatest public intellectual, will deliver the prestigious Hector Crawford Memorial Lecture.

The 2014 conference features a line up of distinguished international and VIP guests including: Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer of two time Emmy ® award winning The Walking Dead and producer of Academy Award ® winning films including The Terminator, Aliens, The Terminator 2: Judgment Day and The Abyss; Roy Lee, the US producer behind blockbusters such as The Lego Movie, The Grudge and The Departed; Laurie Zaks, President of Mandeville Television, who developed and executive produced Castle for five years and has overseen series such as Veronica Mars and Everybody Loves Raymond: Richard Freudenstein, CEO and Managing Director, Foxtel; Mark Scott AO, Managing Director, ABC; Tim Worner, Chief Executive Officer, Seven West Media; Michael Ebeid, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, SBS; Graeme Mason, Chief Executive, Screen Australia and Joe Godwin, Director, BBC Children’s.
