Digital Pictures implements new post facililties
[Thu 02/07/2009 04:30:15]
Press release from Digital Pictures
The technicians at Digital Pictures have engineered their state of the art digital editing suites to enable digital grading system Lustre, and online editing system Smoke to work on the same project at exactly the same time.
This new design reinvents the post production offline workflow and enables producers and director’s to save time and money.
The team have already completed a handful of TV commercials with local and international production companies who were impressed with the new service:
“We recently worked on a Cadbury spot at Digital Pictures and made use of the new grading and online set up, where work can be done simultaneously. It's just great when some of those long wished for advancements in post become a reality! Also great news for Producers, as it was faster, more efficient and less costly, without compromising
creative or quality”. Romanca Jasinski, Head of Television, GPY&R Melbourne
“Recently we completed a couple of 15 second commercials for Pedigree Light (through Whybin TBWA) that required some compositing work. With the new system in place at Digital Pictures Eugene was able to get started on the comp in Smoke while Marty graded the footage in Lustre. When the grade was finished Eugene was able to substitute the ungraded images in his composition with new, schmick, files almost instantaneously and without hassle, saving my Producer quite a bit of time (and money). While it wasn't necessary for this job, because Marty and Eugene nailed it first go, we could have re-graded on the fly if we found that the finished layers of the comp didn't quite match up when pieced together. Thanks for a smooth headache free experience”. Micca Delaney, Director, Exit Films
