[Mon 17/11/2008 05:51:14]

[press release from Streetsweeper Depot]

Streetsweeper is in Official Competition at the Anchorage International Film Festival, Alaska USA, December 2008.

The film will screen two times at the festival and director Neil Mansfield will accompany the film on its long journey across the Pacific.

Completed in mid 2007 Streetsweeper has now screened in public on about 10 different occasions, in festivals, galleries & beer gardens, locally & overseas, to modest sized but enthusiastic audiences.

Shot in Newcastle over four days for less than $20,000, the film debuted at the Perth International Film Festival. The film explores the beauty and ugliness of city street streets through the eyes of a “a loner who finds poetry in the ordinary”, played by actor and co-writer Marin Mimica.

Streetsweeper will be touring alternative venues on the east coast of Australia early next year.
