Senior Manager, Digital and Media Operations

About the role 

The NFSA is seeking an innovative leader to manage its Digital and Media Operations section and deliver key outcomes identified in the NFSA Strategic Plan. The Senior Manager, Digital and Media Operations will lead a large team of technology specialists in the transition from format-based preservation and client copying services to an end-to-end integrated production environment, with a strong service oriented approach. The successful leader will be forward-thinking, self-motivated, and adept at leading people through change processes. 

This is an ongoing, full time role based at the NFSA headquarters in Canberra. 

Applicant requirements

Applicants must demonstrate a strong background and significant achievements in digital production and/or the preservation and management of cultural collections, in the AV industries or other relevant industries. 

Tertiary qualifications in museum studies, librarianship and/or records and archives management, or equivalent comprehensive private and/or public sector experience in the management of digital media assets are highly desirable. 

This position requires an Australian Federal Police (AFP) Criminal Record Check.
