AIDC and SPAA launch new networking platform

Press release from AIDC

Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) and Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) have in partnership launched P2P:Co-create, a networking platform bringing together Australia’s leading factual content producers with the global market.

P2P:Co-create aims to spark and facilitate new co-production opportunities. Developed in response to the growing demand for Australian production companies to engage with a global market, P2P:Co-create is designed for Australian producers to meet and explore projects with potential co-production partners in an exclusive environment.

This new initiative is an ideal opportunity for international production companies seeking Australian co-production partners. It also offers an excellent opportunity for Australian companies to present their development slate to broadcasters.

Australian and International P2P:co-create company representatives will be attending the upcoming AIDC being held in Adelaide at the Hilton for 1 – 4 March.

Director of AIDC, Joost den Hartog said, “I’m very excited about the opportunity to market Australian production power. The prospect of working closely with the country’s top ranking factual television production companies will add a new dimension to our annual event.”

“SPAA is pleased to participate in this great initiative that provides targeted opportunities for selected companies to expand their international networks, and we hope it will lead to some great co-productions with lasting partnerships. AIDC is the perfect platform for this initiative.” added Geoff Brown, Executive Director of SPAA.

The Australian companies already involved in P2P: co-create span factual features, television and interactive digital programs for public and commercial broadcasters and the internet. The companies are well established and set up to facilitate international co-production arrangements.
