Bad Behaviour to premiere at Cinequest

Press release from Sterling Cinema

It's been a grand last few months for Australian Feature Film Bad Behaviour. The film picked up 6 awards, including Best Actor and Best Director, on the closing night of the Melbourne Underground Film Festival.

We are now pleased to announce the international premiere taking place in San Jose, California at one of the major North American film festivals: the 21st Cinequest Film Festival.

Bad Behaviour is the debut feature of writer/director Joseph Sims and stars Quentin Tarantino's favourite Australian actor: John Jarratt (best known for his world famous performance as 'Mick Taylor' in Wolf Creek). Also starring is Aussie acting veteran Roger Ward (Mad Max, Turkey Shoot), beloved comedian Jean Kittson plus Robert Coleby (The Phantom), Dwaine Stevenson (Gabriel) and MUFF 2010 Best Actor winner Lindsay Farris.

Having had only two sellout screenings, this 'Serial Killer Thriller' has already established a cult following and is known for its shock and horror moments as well as outrageous black comedy. "Joseph Sims is the real deal and Bad Behaviour is a wicked little movie", said Hollywood screenwriting legend Todd Farmer (Jason X, My Bloody Valentine, The Messengers) at the film’s Queensland Premiere.

The films Producers had this to say on the announcement of the international premiere:

"We are definitely excited about getting down with some Bad Behaviour alongside our American friends at the world famous Cinequest Film Festival. We have been blown away by the amazing response the film has received and 2011 looks to be a stellar year for getting into even more Bad Behaviour!”

Running from 1st to the 13th of March in the heart of Silicon Valley, Cinequest is the first Major Festival following the Academy Awards. Screening sessions of Bad Behaviour will be released in the coming weeks. Keep your eyes peeled!
