Bed of Roses Series 3 starts filming

Press release from ABC TV

This entertaining family Australian drama returns with 12 great new episodes.
Returning to the series is the outstanding ensemble cast of Kerry Armstrong, Julia Blake, Hanna Mangan-Lawrence along with Jay Laga’aia, Caroline Gillmer, Kaarin Fairfax and Andrew S. Gilbert.

In series three Louisa Atherton, (Kerry Armstrong) has finally found her place in the town of Rainbow’s End. Now 50something, Louisa’s
life finally seems to be on track; she is head over heels in love; she is the proud new co-owner of the Echo newspaper; and is managing to
negotiate her affectionate, if often exasperating family. It just could be a Bed of Roses… but then again it is Louisa Atherton we are talking
about!

Head of ABC TV Drama Miranda Dear said today "Bed of Roses has captivated audiences with its humour and heart. The third series is an
engaging look at a family of three generations of women dealing with the challenges of love, loss and exam results!"
Producer Mark Ruse added: We are thrilled the ABC has commissioned this new series which has found a strong and loyal audience. The series traces the adventures, trials and tribulations of a group of wonderful Australian characters that inhabit Louisa’s (Kerry Armstrong) world in Rainbows End.

In series three, Deborah Parsons, Max Dann, David Hannam, Ysabelle Dean, John Reeves, Josephine Dee Barrett and Ellie Beaumont join
the writing pool in the Jutta Goetze and Elizabeth Coleman created drama.

Bed of Roses will have three directors Ted Emery (Bed of Roses, Kath & Kim, The Craic, Micallef Program) returning for a second season; David Cameron (City Homicide, Big Bang Theory, SeaChange) and Daina Reid (I Love You Too, City Homicide, Very Small Business).

Bed of Roses will be filmed over five months in regional Victoria, Melbourne and in the ABC TV studios, Ripponlea.

The series is a co-production between ABC TV, Hugh Marks and Ruby Entertainment with the assistance of Film Victoria.
