Catch-up boosts for The Bachelor, Wonderland

The Bachelor Australia and Wonderland are not drawing big audiences on Network Ten but  they are the most popular shows on its catch-up service tenplay.

On average The Bachelor is watched by 670,000 viewers on free-to-air and the Wonderland series' average is 740,000.

The network said more than 400,000 tenplay apps have been downloaded and 10 million videos were viewed in the four weeks since the service launched.

Page views of the site increased by 24% to 20 million and the average time spent watching videos was up 17% to 14 minutes. Some 45% of tenplay’s unique visitors are watching on mobile devices. Mobile web views were up by 40%.

Tenplay launched on September 30, streaming the first episode of the third season of Homeland 15 minutes after it aired in the US. The network says it will add more content, features and functionality, plus integration with the second screen app zeebox in the next few months.

Among the other most-watched shows are Elementary, Neighbours and The Bold and The Beautiful. Ten said that The Bachelor last week had about 650,000 video views and Wonderland about 350,000.
