Celebrate Australia Day with The Water Diviner

PRESS RELEASE

On the eve of Australia Day, Moonlight cinema will be showcasing the best in Aussie drama with a screening of Russel Crowe’s directorial debut The Water Diviner. Starring Crowe and featuring an all-star cast including former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Aussie heart-throb Jai Courtney and Aussie supermodel Megan Gale, The Water Diviner is a uniquely Australian story. What better way to welcome in Australia day, than under the Aussie summer sky with friends and family!?

The Water Diviner tells the story of Connor (Crowe), who travels to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli in search of his three sons – all reported as Missing In Action. Following Connor and the people he meets as he travels through a war-ravaged Turkey, The Water Diviner is one man’s search for answers in the chaos of warfare.

Nominated for eight AACTA awards, The Water Diviner is sure to become an important cinematic addition to the ANZAC legend. Be sure to come down to see some great Aussie drama, and celebrate Australia Day in an unforgettable way.

The Moonlight Cinema LA-style food truck will be serving up tantalizing street fare, or you can BYO picnic and booze!

Audiences can expect to tuck into an epic range of burgers including wagyu beef cheeseburgers, pulled pork brisket burgers and Southern-fried chicken burgers, as well as New Yorker chilli cheese dogs, buffalo fried chicken and parmesan truffle fries. Make sure you come early, because you’ll be tempted to try everything on the menu!

As always, Moonlight Cinema’s Gold Grass offers the ultimate outdoor cinema experience: the perfect treat for someone special in your life. With reserved bean beds in a premium viewing location and wait service, you won’t even have to get up from your bean bed!
